Understand where you are with AI. Not just whether you use it, but how strategically and effectively.
This short assessment helps you understand how you currently use AI in your work. Not just whether you use it, but how strategically and effectively. This is not a performance assessment. There are no pass or fail outcomes. Your results provide a snapshot of your current AI use patterns and a suggested development pathway tailored to your profile.
Please try to accurately reflect your practice. Your first instinct is usually your most honest one, so do not dwell too long on any question. Answer based on what you actually do, not what you think you should be doing.
The assessment contains 9 questions and should take no more than 5 to 8 minutes to complete. Your results will appear instantly once you submit and will cover four areas: capability tier, behavioural persona, use profile, and platform context.
Optional. These details appear in your PDF report if you choose to download one.
Thinking about your work over the last month, distribute 100 points across these activities based on where AI tools contribute to your role. Allocate more points to areas where you use AI frequently or for significant work. If you have not used AI for a particular activity, enter 0. Your total must equal 100 points.
| Work Activity | Points (0-100) |
|---|---|
| Writing and document creation (reports, briefs, emails, proposals) | |
| Data analysis and synthesis (interpreting information, identifying patterns) | |
| Research and information gathering (researching new data, finding sources, summarising content) | |
| Meeting and communication support (agendas, minutes, notes, follow-ups) | |
| Planning and strategic thinking (ideation, problem-solving, scenario analysis, developing future needs) | |
| Quality assurance (reviewing, editing, fact-checking) | |
| Learning and development (discovering how AI works, understanding new concepts, skill building) | |
| Administrative efficiency (scheduling, formatting, routine tasks) | |
| Not currently using AI for work tasks (select 100 here if this applies) | |
| Total allocated | 0 / 100 |
Select all the approaches you have typically used in the last month. Be honest. There is no right answer. Select as many as apply.
Of the approaches above, which is your most common method? Select only one. Your default or primary way of engaging with AI.
For each situation below, select the response that most closely matches what you would actually do, not what you think you should do. There are no right or wrong answers. Select one option per scenario.
Thinking specifically about the last month, how often have you used AI in each of these ways?
| Approach | Never | Rarely (1-2x) |
Sometimes (3-5x) |
Often (6-10x) |
Very Often (10+) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Working collaboratively with AI to develop content or ideas You share your thinking, AI builds on it, you iterate together |
|||||
| Using AI to critique or challenge your work You produce something, AI identifies weaknesses, gaps, or flawed assumptions |
|||||
| Asking AI focused questions to extract specific information You know what you need, you query systematically until you have it |
You have 100 points representing potential training and support investment. Distribute them across the areas where better support would most improve your AI effectiveness. Allocate more to areas where you need most help. Total must equal 100 points.
| Support Area | Points (0-100) |
|---|---|
| Practical examples for my specific role or domain | |
| Prompt engineering techniques | |
| Platform comparison guidance | |
| Output evaluation (knowing when AI is wrong or unreliable) | |
| Advanced interaction strategies | |
| Integration workflows (incorporating AI into existing processes) | |
| Ethical and security considerations | |
| Time-saving tactics for common tasks | |
| Confidence building (overcoming hesitation or uncertainty) | |
| Total allocated | 0 / 100 |
Select all that apply.
If you have used multiple platforms, have you noticed meaningful differences between them?
For each statement below, rate how often this describes your current practice. Score 1 for never, 2 for rarely, 3 for occasionally, 4 for often, 5 for very often.
| Statement | 1 Never |
2 Rarely |
3 Occasionally |
4 Often |
5 Very Often |
